About

A public mandate, not a private rulebook.

The Humanity & AI Safety Accord is a global appeal. It asks governments to make sure someone is clearly responsible for advanced AI safety, and to agree the rules together, internationally.

What this is

A place for people, elected representatives, organisations and AI developers to sign one shared statement, and for anyone to see honestly how many have.

What this is not

It is not legislation. It does not write law, set capability thresholds or create obligations for any company. It has no financial mechanism and no penalties. Signing costs nothing and commits you to nothing except your name on a public appeal.

People create the mandate. Governments and qualified experts create the rules.

Why the numbers are built the way they are

A project asking for careful engineering elsewhere has to demonstrate it here. So: the count is the real count, every signature is bound to the exact text that was agreed, the full list of names is never downloadable, dates of birth are never searchable, and the methodology page states the limitations before anyone else has to find them.

No party alignment

The platform is institutionally neutral. It does not endorse candidates, rank parties, sell political targeting data or let anyone buy influence over the wording. If a politician signs, we show it. If they do not, we say nothing about them.
